
Paul Smith grew up in a Navy family. In the 1960’s when he was a teenager they moved from Athens, Georgia to Monterey, California. Paul talks about the challenge of fitting in and learning to be true to himself.
When she was 12 years old Faye Williams found a book about the law left behind by a prominent African American Lawyer. Reading that book led Faye to a life long career in the law.
After attending Historically Black Colleges, earning a CPA, working for Governor Bayh, and founding her own CPA firm Venita was called upon to run for IPS Commissioner. Her grown daughter said, “Why not?”
